Sorry

Momma: Do you like to do the dishes?
Son: When you are angry with me, I do the dishes. And only if I'm sorry. Only if I'm sorry.

So nowadays I purposely leave dishes in the sink even though that hurts my eyes and my brain 😜, hoping that my 5-year old son will have something to help him calm his conscience, if I may describe it as such. (He does pretty well except the plastics that got oily, so I happily redo the dishes when he doesn't notice it.)

I honestly still haven't figured out the ways with him. I know his life has its challenges. May Allah help me in this journey. I hope I grow mellower and I pray that he grows kinder and better as a good Muslim boy.

Coffee and Love

Alhamdulillah I finally got to enjoy (albeit in a hurry) a yummy cup of gourmet coffee, celebrated by my lovely children ten days after my 41st birthday. It was made possible by the gift from their grandfather. May Allah return the kindness.

And I also got to enjoy another, simpler, but full of love, cup of coffee on Eid-ul-Adha, a treat from my wonderful, eldest daughter, when we were spending the time at the hospital.

Alhamdulillah many times over for the blessings of love.

Perseverance

O Allah, give us strength.

Al-Imran/3:200
O ye who believe! Persevere in patience and constancy; vie in such perseverance; strengthen each other; and fear Allah; that ye may prosper.
